No Phone Calls * * * Job Summary: Responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC plate-processing equipment to produce accurate, high-quality components for fabrication and manufacturing projects. Responsibilities - Set up, program, and operate CNC plate-processing equipment; including Mitsubishi 40-ton press brake, TRUMPF TruBend V130 press brake, and/or TRUMPF TruMatic L3030 laser
- Load, position, form, and process sheet and plate material safely and accurately.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings; apply shop math, basic math, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to verify dimensions.
- Perform press brake setups, including tooling changes and adjustments required to achieve specified dimensions and angles.
- Program and adjust equipment as needed for individual jobs and production requirements.
- Inspect completed parts using appropriate measuring tools to verify dimensions and conformance to print.
- Make machine, tooling, and program adjustments to correct dimensional or quality issues.
- Monitor equipment during operation and identify problems before they result in scrap, rework, or equipment damage.
- Coordinate with fab, and machining, departments to keep work moving efficiently.
