At Starflex, you’ll be the go-to expert behind a CNC laser cell, turning work orders and 2D drawings into precise parts that keep our customers on schedule. Picture your day: you review blueprints, prep your nests, set up an Amada (or comparable) CNC laser, load material safely, and run with purpose—verifying every dimension with calipers and micrometers while collaborating closely with production scheduling and quality.
What a typical day looks like
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment (Amada experience is a plus; other platforms welcome)
- Interpret blueprints and work orders to plan efficient, accurate runs
- Load and unload sheet material safely; use forklifts when needed
- Measure, verify, and document part quality and dimensional accuracy
- Troubleshoot cut issues and perform routine machine maintenance
- Maintain production flow and consistently hit daily output goals
- Partner with production and quality teams to solve problems fast
What you bring
- Hands-on experience operating CNC laser equipment (required)
- Familiarity with Amada lasers preferred; other CNC laser platforms strongly considered
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
- Detail-driven mindset with a commitment to quality
- Reliable work ethic and strong attendance
- Forklift experience is a plus
