Location: Alsip, IL | Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm (Weekends as needed)

What youll do

• Lead installation, removal, and relocation of CNC and manual machine tools.
• Interpret and create wiring diagrams, electrical layouts, and schematics.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems; identify root cause and resolve.
• Apply Lock Out/Tag Out whenever servicing equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready workspace aligned with PM schedules.
• Model safe behavior; report and correct unsafe conditions immediately.
• Flex to support additional maintenance tasks as assigned.

Must-haves

• 3+ years in manufacturing with exposure to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• 3+ years maintaining CNC and manual equipment (HS Diploma, Trade school certification, or GED preferred).
• 2+ years diagnosing/repairing hydraulic & pneumatic circuits plus heating, cooling, and general building systems.
• 2+ years reading blueprints, mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• 2+ years using micrometers, gauges, meters, calipers, and precision instruments.
• Clear written and verbal communication; fluent in English.
• Independent, collaborative, and strong problem-solver under time pressure.

Nice-to-have

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Preferred.

Work setting & physical requirements

• On-site industrial environment with exposure to noise, temperature variation, fumes, and chemicals.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; kneel, bend, climb ladders, work in tight spaces; extended standing and walking.
• Comfort operating at height (e.g., scissor lift).

Union relationship

• Affiliated with District No. 8 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers; closed shop for hourly roles.
• First 60 working days are probationary for new employees.
• Post-probation, employees join the union with an initiation.

Compensation

• Starting pay: $36.40 per hour.
• Pay range: Starting pay will be $23.10 - $35.00 per hour based on experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.
