    Job description

    Duties:

    - Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care.
    - Perform basic nursing procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse.
    - Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
    - Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
    - Help patients with mobility and transfers.
    - Collect specimens for laboratory testing.
    - Monitor patients' condition and report any changes to the nursing staff.
    - Assist in maintaining a clean and safe patient environment.
    - Follow proper aseptic technique to prevent infection transmission.
    - Provide catheter care as needed.

    Experience:

    - Previous experience as a nursing assistant or similar role is preferred but not required.
    - Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy is beneficial.
    - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality is essential.
    - Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus.

    Skills:

    - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
    - Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
    - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    - Proficient in taking accurate vital signs and recording them correctly.

    Requirements:

    - High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a nursing assistant training program is preferred.
    - Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) is highly desirable but not always required, depending on state regulations.
    - Must have a valid CPR certification.
