Overview
As an ACCS Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will provide direct service and routine, episodic nursing aide care to adults who have both complex medical needs and psychiatric conditions. Working in a small Group Living Environment, you will have a range of duties include administrating medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP), implementing treatment plans, and assisting people with activities of daily living, such as household chores and cooking.
The work that you will do in this role goes beyond assisting with medical needs and completing activities of daily living as each interaction with the clients will have an impact on their ability to integrate into their communities and pursue life goals. Examples include strengthening residents'' connection to their community, providing transportation on shopping and doctor''s appointments, teaching financial skills and working on exercise or health related goals.
This position will allow you to exercise your medical expertise, develop relationships due to low ratios, and most importantly, assist someone living with mental health conditions to overcome the barriers to living independently.

Summary:
The ACCS Intensive Medical GLE (IM GLE) Certified Nursing Assistant promotes the full integration andfunctioning of Persons Served (PS) needed to live a healthy life in the community. Provides direct serviceand routine nursing aide care under the direction of a Nurse in a clinically complex program model,designed to meet both medical and psychiatric needs of PS. Provides assistance with activities of dailyliving and medication administration services folowing Medication Administration Program (MAP)guidelines.

Driving Requirements:
Driving is a requirement for this position using either a Vinfen van or a personal vehicle. If using apersonal vehicle, you must possess and maintain adequate insurance as well as maintain a safe drivingrecord which is subject to annual checks. A valid driver''s license must be presented at the time ofemployment. Incumbents must be at least 21 years of age, have maintained a valid US driver''s licensefor at least one year, and must be able to pass a driver''s screening background check.
Physical Effort:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb as this is a very physically active position.Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or the use of a two-person lift.Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer.Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs, and maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways. Ability to assist PSwith tasks of daily living. Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time as needed. Ability tobend, reach, file, sit, stand, and move around the facility. Ability to speak, hear, and communicate withPS, staff, and external representatives. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
