CMM/Quality Inspector

Shift: Days

Salary: $25-30/hr (depending on experience level)

Description:

  • We are seeking a CMM/Quality Inspector for a manufacturing facility in Jermyn, PA. The successful candidate will bring manufacturing or machining quality experience, including hands-on ZEISS CMM operation and programming with Calypso software. This role is well suited to a detail-oriented inspector who can interpret blueprints and GD&T, document results accurately, and support an ISO 9001 quality system.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience inspecting die cast, machined aluminum, or machined zinc components.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and controlled quality documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T requirements.
  • Experience using conventional inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to document inspection results accurately and communicate findings to production, engineering, and quality team members.

Job Duties:

  • Perform dimensional inspections of die cast and machined components using a ZEISS CMM, Calypso software, and appropriate conventional inspection tools.
  • Create, edit, and run CMM programs based on part drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T callouts to determine the correct inspection approach and acceptance criteria.
  • Complete first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as assigned, and record results clearly and accurately.
  • Use gauges and measuring tools correctly and help ensure inspection equipment is handled and maintained in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming conditions; support containment, investigation, and corrective-action activities.
