CMM Programmer/Operator
Location: Poway, CA
Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 AM3:30 PM
Pay: $30$45/hour, depending on experience
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced
CMM Operator/Programmer to support quality inspection and programming for precision-manufactured components. This role will develop and execute CMM programs, perform inspections, interpret blueprints and GD&T, and work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Responsibilities
- Program, operate, validate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
- Inspect parts using CMMs, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, specifications, and CAD models.
- Prepare inspection, first-article, and customer reports.
- Perform incoming material and final inspections.
- Support PPAP requirements, audits, and corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot measurement and quality issues and assist with root-cause analysis.
- Enter inspection and production data into ERP and other systems.
- Follow applicable quality, safety, and AS9100 procedures.
Qualifications
- 3+ years CMM operating experience and 1+ year CMM programming experience.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Experience with precision inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of CAD models and inspection processes.
- Strong math, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred: Aerospace manufacturing/quality experience, AS9100 knowledge, CNC machining experience, and a technical or engineering degree.
