Cloud Software Engineer AWS & Python

Location: Malvern, PA - Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week

Rate: $30 $35/hour on W2

Relocation: Non-local candidates willing to relocate will be considered.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Software Engineer to develop backend applications and API integrations supporting treasury operations. The role will work acros

s Money Movement and Cash Management & Liquidity teams, with assignments based on project priorities and team capacity.

The position is primarily focused on coding, software development, and cloud engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop backend services and API integrations for a new money movement vendor platform.
  • Support the transition from the existing vendor-hosted product to its replacement.
  • Build and enhance an in-house AWS-based cash management and liquidity application.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation.
  • Develop Python applications and services using AWS Lambda and ECS.
  • Configure and maintain IAM permissions supporting application access requirements.
  • Use AWS CloudWatch logs and monitoring to troubleshoot application issues.
  • Perform testing, deployment, and ongoing application maintenance.
  • Contribute to limited Angular frontend enhancements as needed.
  • Work across both treasury teams for multiple sprints as business priorities change.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on backend software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Strong AWS experience, including CloudFormation, ECS, IAM, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
  • Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure as code using CloudFormation.
  • Experience developing APIs and integrating with third-party platforms.
  • Ability to diagnose application issues through logs and monitoring tools.
  • Experience delivering software through development, testing, and deployment.
  • Ability to work across teams and adapt to changing project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting treasury, money movement, cash management, or liquidity applications.
  • Familiarity with Angular.
  • Experience with vendor platform integrations and application migrations.
