    Cloud / SharePoint Solutions Architect

    Washington DC

    Technical authority and governance lead for the SBA SharePoint Online and Power Platform environment; Tier 3 escalation point; owner of CCB change packages and modernization strategy

    A. Roles and Responsibilities
    • Set and maintain the target architecture, governance model, and design standards for the SharePoint Online tenant, Power Platform environments, and Power BI workspaces.
    • Prepare, submit, and execute Configuration Control Board (CCB/ECCB) change packages: baseline documentation, change request, test plan, back-out plan, and implementation timeline; execute scripted production changes within approved maintenance windows and validate results.
    • Administer tenant governance policies (inactive-site policy, site lifecycle, sharing, retention) and drive SharePoint Advanced Management and Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness.
    • Define and lead the classic-to-modern SharePoint modernization approach without reliance on deprecated design tooling; lead application and database migrations to cloud environments.
    • Evaluate new Microsoft tools, features, and upgrades and document recommendations in monthly reports.
    • Provide Tier 3 escalation and technical review for all development and support work; act as design authority for the team.
    • Maintain real-time architecture, configuration, and decision documentation; lead kickoff, transition-in, and transition-out technical activities.
    B. Experience and Qualifications
    • 10+ years of IT experience; 5+ years architecting and administering enterprise SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 tenants (5,000+ users or 500K+ page views per month).
    • 3+ years executing production tenant changes through a formal change control board, preferably in a federal agency.
    • Demonstrated delivery of at least two classic-to-modern SharePoint modernization or cloud migration programs.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Certification: MCSE Cloud Platform & Infrastructure, or current equivalent (Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert). Preferred: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert; PMP or ITIL if serving as Task Order Manager.
    • Eligible for a federal Public Trust background investigation and PIV credential.
