Magnits integrated workforce management (IWM) platform supported by data, software, intelligence, and best-in-class services team is key to our clients' success. It can adapt quickly to regional or industry economic shifts, and provides the speed, scale, flexibility, transparency, and expertise required to meet an organization's contingent workforce management, talent strategy and broader organization goals. At Magnit, you'll work with passionate colleagues who collaborate and deliver meaningful results that positively transform the largest companies around the globe.

About the Role

Were hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen the security posture of our multi-cloud environment and serve as a trusted technical advisor across engineering, SOC, and executive stakeholders. Youll lead threat modeling and attack-path analysis across AWS and Azure, tune AI-driven detections, and translate complex security findings into clear, prioritized remediation plans. This is a high-impact role for someone who can move fluently between deep technical analysis and executive-level communication.

What Youll Do

Conduct security architecture reviews and discovery sessions across enterprise AWS and Azure environments to identify control gaps and validate the effectiveness of existing controls.

Perform threat modeling and attack-path analysis, mapping adversarial behavior to MITRE ATT&CK and CIS Critical Security Controls to surface lateral movement, credential abuse, and insider threat risks.

Tune AI-driven anomaly detection and behavioral analytics models to reduce false positives and improve triage accuracy for the SOC.

Partner with Solutions Architects, Cloud Engineering, and Application Security teams to design secure deployment patterns aligned to enterprise compliance and risk requirements.

Deliver evidence-based findings and security briefings to both technical audiences (SOC analysts, engineers) and executive stakeholders.

Resolve complex multi-cloud security escalations end-to-end, partnering across cloud engineering and customer security teams.

Translate recurring control gaps into actionable feedback that influences platform security roadmaps and expands coverage across regulated environments.

What Youll Bring

Required:

2+ years of hands-on cloud security experience across AWS and/or Azure (hybrid cloud environments a plus).

Demonstrated experience with threat modeling, attack-path analysis, and security architecture reviews.

Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Critical Security Controls, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

Experience with AI-driven or behavioral anomaly detection platforms (Darktrace, Vectra, ExtraHop, or similar).

Strong grasp of IAM fundamentals: least privilege, zero-trust architecture, and RBAC.

Ability to translate technical findings into prioritized, business-aligned recommendations for executive audiences.

Preferred:

Cloud certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner (or higher) and Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or above.

Vendor-specific detection or analyst certifications (e.g., Darktrace Cyber Analyst).

Exposure to privacy and compliance frameworks (CPRA, CPA, VCDPA, GDPR) and tools like OneTrust.

Experience working with regulated enterprise customers or in a customer-facing technical role.

Familiarity with threat intelligence enrichment tools (VirusTotal or equivalent).

Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation: Salary range is $80,000-$86,000 USD annually.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 6 months, youll have led security architecture reviews across our highest-risk cloud workloads, measurably reduced detection false-positive rates, and established yourself as a go-to advisor for both engineering leadership and the SOC.

  • 1099 Independent Contractor Consulting Solutions

PRO was founded in 1991, in response to what we believed was a critical need in the contingent workforce marketplace. The workplace was in the early stages of a dramatic transformation. Large companies were downsizing in an attempt to reduce headcount and gain more flexibility. This, in turn, led to a large scale increase in temporary employment staffing, and in the use of independent contractors, returning retirees, freelancers and consultants. A group commonly referred to today as the contingent workforce.

While many companies addressed the need to recruit and place workers for this growing workforce, no one was responding to the ever increasing need to manage the overall process. For large corporations, the contingent workforce was quickly becoming one of the most critical and costly elements of their operation -- an element that would increasingly present challenges from a management, tax, and benefit liability perspective.

We pioneered an industry when we founded PRO Unlimited to meet this void in the marketplace. We earned our reputation as an innovator that consistently responds to the needs of our clients. Our services have been developed not in ivory tower offices, but by listening closely to the marketplace and our customers.

Today, PRO services a who's who list of Global and Fortune 500 companies. On an annual basis, the company works with thousands of contingent workers across the globe and processes billions of dollars in transactions through a network of more than 1,000 staffing suppliers. We firmly believe our tremendous success throughout the years has been due to our corporate philosophy:

Always deliver more than our customer expects, and deliver our services with an eye toward exceptional integrity, competence and execution.

When you're looking for a workplace solution, PRO is your answer.
