Cloud Security Consultant

The consultant will partner with Application Security, IAM, Network, Data Security, and Cloud Engineering teams to deliver a secure OCI landing zone and PeopleSoft deployment. The Cloud Security Consultant will provide hands on security design, engineering, and oversight for the PeopleSoft OCI architecture.

Location: 2 Broadway - MTA Headquarters (*PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE CONSULTANT TO WORK ONSITE*)
Duration: 12 months (37.50 hrs./week)

Job Description:
The Cloud Security Consultant will provide hands on security design, engineering, and oversight for the PeopleSoft OCI architecture. This role ensures the environment is hardened, compliant, monitored, and aligned with MTA cybersecurity standards. The consultant will partner with Application Security, IAM, Network, Data Security, and Cloud Engineering teams to deliver a secure OCI landing zone and PeopleSoft deployment.
" Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI):
o Policies, Compartments, Security Zones
o OCI WAF, Load Balancing, Vault, Key Management
o Network Security (subnet design, firewalls, NAT, private endpoints)

" Cloud Security engineering background (Azure/AWS acceptable as secondary).
" CSPM tools (Oracle Cloud Guard, Prisma, Wiz, or similar).
" Experience securing enterprise applications in cloud.
" Exceptional communication skills.
" Familiarity with PeopleSoft architecture is preferred.
" Strong understanding of Application Security, DevSecOps, and API security.
" Knowledge of logging/monitoring: SIEM, cloud audit logs, event metrics.
" Ability to collaborate with architecture, DBA, AppSec, IAM, and network teams.
