Cloud Platform Engineer (Remote, USA)

We are hiring a Cloud Platform Engineer for a global technology company. In this role, you will lead the delivery, validation, and automation of clients' on prem cloud platform, working across VMware infrastructure, Linux systems, Kubernetes ecosystems, and cloud management platforms to ensure secure, compliant deployments in air gapped customer environments.

This is a 40-hour-per-week, 3-month contract (possible extensions), remote role in the USA (MST hours preferred).

This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi environments supporting HPE GreenLake workloads.
• Support CCP platform packaging, delivery, installation, and lifecycle management for SilverCreek deployments.
• Assist with infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and release validation activities.
• Troubleshoot deployment, integration, and operational issues across platform infrastructure and services.
• Develop and maintain Terraform based infrastructure automation.
• Automate provisioning workflows through Morpheus or equivalent cloud management platforms.
• Create automated deployment validation frameworks, health checks, smoke tests, and infrastructure testing solutions.
• Design and support software delivery into air gapped or restricted environments.
• Manage certificate lifecycles, PKI integrations, and offline dependency management.

Requirements

• 5+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering; enterprise private cloud or on prem platforms; regulated/security sensitive environments; Kubernetes based platform services.
• Hands-on experience with VMware Infrastructure such as vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, datastore management, VM lifecycle.
• Hands on expertise with Terraform (required), Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, CI/CD automation, and API driven provisioning.
• Advanced systems administration, performance tuning, operating system lifecycle management, and shell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes administration, Helm package management, container lifecycle management, and cluster operations.
• Experience with Morpheus (preferred), VMware Aria/vRealize, CloudBolt, or comparable private cloud platforms.

Compensation: $60/hr. - $63/hr.
