Role Overview:

Citadel Securities is seeking an exceptional Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Research Platform Engineering team in

n

Miami or New York. Our team develops and operates the cloud platforms, distributed systems, and infrastructure that

n

power research, simulations, AI workloads, and data-intensive applications across the firm. We build the services and

n

abstractions that allow researchers and engineers to efficiently leverage large-scale compute, storage, and cloud

n

resources. This role is focused on building scalable, reliable infrastructure and platform services that improve the

n

efficiency, usability, and performance of some of the firm's most critical systems.

n

Responsibilities:

n

n

• Design and build cloud-native platform services and distributed systems supporting research, AI, and data-intensive workloads n
• Build abstractions, APIs, and automation that simplify cloud resource management for researchers and n
• engineers n
• Design and operate large-scale compute, storage, and networking infrastructure across cloud environments n
• Improve observability, performance, resiliency, and operational excellence across critical infrastructure platforms n
• Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to translate requirements into scalable production systems n
• Contribute to platform architecture, deployment automation, and infrastructure lifecycle management n

Qualifications:

n

n

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field n
• 3+ years of professional experience building and operating large-scale cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or platform services n

n

n

• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, C++, or similar languages, with a demonstrated ability to build production software n

n

n

• Experience developing cloud-native systems and infrastructure on platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP experience is a plus) n

n

n

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, Linux, networking fundamentals, and large-scale production systems n

n

n

• Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, infrastructure automation, or modern platform engineering practices n

n

n

n

In accordance with applicable law, the base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $350,000.

n

In addition, the employee who fills this role will be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive compensation program, as well as a wide array of benefit programs, such as medical and life insurance, retirement and tax-free savings plans, and access to other healthcare programs.
