Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Hartford, CT. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Cloud Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with a proven ability to build scalable cloud solutions, automate engineering processes, and improve platform reliability.
Rate Range: $43/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Cloud Platform Engineer Job Responsibilities Include:
Design, build, deploy, and support scalable cloud-based solutions with a primary focus on AWS infrastructure and cloud-native services.
Develop and implement Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions that improve engineering productivity, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and automated software delivery processes.
Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational excellence.
Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including monitoring, observability, reliability engineering, incident management, and service performance optimization.
Automate repetitive engineering, operational, and support tasks using Python, scripting technologies, and AI-driven automation capabilities.
Support cloud platform governance, security best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise environments.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Two to four years of experience supporting cloud engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or platform engineering environments.
Strong experience designing, deploying, and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud-based applications.
Demonstrated experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and modern software delivery practices.
Experience implementing and supporting Site Reliability Engineering principles, including observability, monitoring, incident management, and platform reliability improvements.
Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and hands-on experience using Terraform or similar automation tools.
Experience developing automation solutions using Python or other scripting languages to improve operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or container orchestration platforms.
Familiarity with GitHub, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD toolchains used in enterprise environments.
Knowledge of cloud observability platforms, monitoring solutions, logging frameworks, and operational analytics tools.
Experience supporting cloud modernization, platform engineering, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
Industry experience within regulated or large-scale enterprise environments is considered a plus.
Experience working with Agile, DevOps, and cloud-native engineering teams.

Pay Details: $43.00 to $46.00 per hour
