We are seeking an experienced Cloud-Native Java Developer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, resilient, and high-performance cloud-native applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. The developer will work closely with architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, product managers, and other software engineers to build modern distributed applications designed specifically for cloud environments.
Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native applications using Java.
Build scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
Design and develop independently deployable microservices.
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate internal and external services.
Apply cloud-native design principles to improve scalability, resilience, availability, and maintainability.
Containerize Java applications using Docker.
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
Develop applications for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Work with cloud services for compute, storage, databases, messaging, monitoring, and application deployment.
Develop event-driven services using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or cloud messaging technologies.
Implement synchronous and asynchronous communication between microservices.
Implement service discovery, centralized configuration, API Gateway, and load-balancing patterns.
Implement fault-tolerance patterns including retries, timeouts, circuit breakers, and graceful degradation.
Develop database integration using JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Data.
Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Work with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar databases.
Implement caching using Redis or related technologies.
Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and role-based access control.
Develop secure APIs and follow cloud application security best practices.
Implement application logging, metrics, health checks, tracing, and monitoring.
Troubleshoot distributed application, container, API, database, and cloud infrastructure issues.
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and efficient resource utilization.
Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented Java code.
Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and related frameworks.
Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering standards.
Use Git for source-code management.
Support automated CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with DevOps teams on Infrastructure as Code and deployment automation.
Maintain technical documentation for APIs, microservices, cloud infrastructure, and deployment processes.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of professional Java development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Core Java.
Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
Hands-on experience developing microservices-based applications.
Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
Experience developing distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
Hands-on experience with Docker.
Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes.
Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software-design principles.
Experience with relational databases and SQL.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate or similar ORM technologies.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
Experience with Maven or Gradle.
Experience with Git and version-control workflows.
Understanding of CI/CD concepts and automated deployments.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Java 17 or later.
Experience with Spring Cloud.
Knowledge of cloud-native Java frameworks such as Quarkus or Micronaut.
Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service or Google Kubernetes Engine.
Experience with Helm for Kubernetes application deployment.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with Redis or distributed caching.
Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio.
Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or cloud-native CI/CD platforms.
Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK, or CloudWatch.
Experience with distributed tracing.
Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and cloud security practices.
