Role Overview
We are looking for a Cloud Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Spanner.
The candidate should have experience building/migrating applications to cloud-based distributed databases and optimizing application and database performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
- Analyze existing applications and database interactions.
- Integrate and migrate data access layers to Google Cloud Spanner.
- Work with Spanner PostgreSQL Dialect and distributed SQL databases.
- Modify SQL queries and transaction logic for Spanner.
- Optimize database queries, read/write operations, and transactional workloads.
- Design data models, indexes, and primary keys to avoid Spanner hotspotting.
- Troubleshoot application and database performance issues.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Work with architects, Google Cloud SMEs, and client stakeholders.
- Document technical decisions and migration considerations.
