Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a 6-month contract position based in Plano, Texas, supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure and centralized logging solutions across multiple cloud environments. The Atlas Logging team, part of Cloud Platform Foundation Services, is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to build, maintain, and support logging infrastructure that collects, aggregates, and secures logs across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions that collect logs from cloud environments.
• Aggregate and centralize logs for storage and retention in compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Route logs to appropriate destinations for access, analysis, and security monitoring.
• Support cybersecurity teams by ensuring logs are available for security monitoring and incident response.
• Provision and configure cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Review, troubleshoot, and maintain existing Java and Python code supporting infrastructure and automation.
• Write Python scripts to automate infrastructure and cloud operations.
• Configure and use CI/CD pipelines to deploy cloud resources and infrastructure changes.
• Maintain and enhance existing infrastructure automation and cloud resource configurations.
• Support Windows EC2 instances and PowerShell scripting as needed.

Qualifications

• Required

• Hands-on experience building, configuring, or supporting infrastructure in AWS.

• Experience provisioning and managing cloud resources using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.

• Ability to review, troubleshoot, and maintain existing Java code in infrastructure environments.

• Experience writing Python scripts for infrastructure automation and cloud operations.

• Experience configuring or using CI/CD pipelines to deploy cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with AWS CLI for executing cloud infrastructure commands.

• Preferred

• Experience with centralized logging platforms, log aggregation, retention, or cloud observability solutions.

• Experience working with Azure or GCP in addition to AWS.

• Experience with Windows infrastructure support and PowerShell scripting.

• Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning new technologies and expanding technical knowledge across multiple cloud platforms.
