Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Engineer for a Contract to Hire with a client in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will support and optimize cloud infrastructure by managing application workloads, resolving incidents, and implementing secure, scalable cloud solutions.
Rate Range: $55/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Cloud Engineer Responsibilities include:
Manage and support cloud infrastructure, including troubleshooting incidents and maintaining operational stability.
Configure and administer Azure or AWS cloud environments to support application workloads and business requirements.
Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Collaborate with development teams to deploy, optimize, and support cloud-based applications and services.
Monitor cloud resources, security controls, performance, and capacity, providing recommendations for improvements.
Maintain Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, and MDM services while ensuring reliable access, compliance, and end-user support.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience supporting, configuring, and managing Azure or AWS cloud environments, with 7+ years of overall hands-on IT experience.
Proven experience with Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange Online, Intune, Azure AD, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Security & Compliance solutions.
Strong expertise in cloud automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, PowerShell, or Python.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
