    Location: 100 percent remote but Jersey city or NYC preferred

    Interview process: 1 and done interview

    Contract: 6 months extendable

    Must have: Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, ArgoCD or Flux and Azure GCP, and Linux

    • Administer and support public cloud Kubernetes cluster infrastructure for enterprise workloads.
    • Configure and maintain core cluster services, including authentication, routing, logging, monitoring, storage, and networking.
    • Partner with development teams to review containerized application requirements and support onboarding of in-house and vendor software components onto the Kubernetes platform.
    • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to implement GitOps and CI/CD automation for patching, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation.
    • Support platform reliability, operational stability, and availability through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
    • Evaluate and apply relevant technologies and tooling to improve security hardening, observability, and platform performance.
    • Follow established BNY standards, engineering practices, and compliance requirements in platform implementation and support activities.

    To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
    • 7 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud engineering.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience creating, configuring, upgrading, and administering Kubernetes clusters in production environments across cloud, VM, or bare-metal infrastructure.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools such as ArgoCD or Flux , Helm and/or Kustomize , Prometheus-based monitoring , Terraform , Ansible , and CI/CD automation.
    • Strong knowledge of Linux system internals, storage, and networking fundamentals.
    • Experience supporting cloud-native platforms and containerized workloads in public cloud environments.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a professional, team-oriented setting.
    • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
