MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cloud Architect to support the HAF/A3 Weather Community. This position plays a pivotal role within the Data Center of Excellence development team, focusing on critical cloud migration efforts. The successful candidate will possess expertise in cloud architecture and database concepts and operations, Machine to Machine (M2M) web services requirements, and capabilities. This is a remote position with occasional CONUS travel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assess target AWS architectures against requirements to identify gaps and suggest remediations.
  • Recommend and apply Cloud Architecture and industry frameworks, such as AWS Well Architected Framework.
  • Apply principles of zero-trust architecture, identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP).
  • Perform continuous assessments of compliance with data requirements, formats, sharing agreements, and Air Force and DoW data policies across multiple cloud migration efforts.
  • Support with Agile planning and practices.
  • Translate technical concepts into business outcomes for executive-level leadership.
  • Act as the primary liaison between development teams and IT operations to align software tools with business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years overall professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud migration, or cloud architecture.
  • Experience with cloud migration projects and related technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS cloud proficiency, in theory and practical levels. Able to advise the client on cloud interconnectivity requirements, cloud management, security, data and tools integration, and containerization.
  • DAF CloudWorks or other DoW cloud experience.
  • Scaled Agile Framework experience.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent.
  • Familiar with DoW ATO process.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • US citizenship with an active Secret level clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel (10% or less).
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $117,000.00-$195,100.00.
