Work you'll do

As a Cloud Architect Contractor on the Public Cloud team, you will support client's cloud transformation by designing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions across AWS, Google Cloud, and on-premises environments. You will help deliver secure, scalable, and reliable network platforms for application and data hosting, with a focus on automation and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS and Google Cloud network architectures, including VPCs, subnets, routing, IP addressing, and network segmentation.
• Support connectivity between data centers and cloud environments using AWS Direct Connect, Google Cloud Interconnect, VPNs, and SD-WAN.
• Implement and maintain network infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Google Cloud deployment tools.
• Configure and support DNS, load balancing, API gateways, and content delivery network services.
• Develop scripts and tools using Python, Go, Bash, or similar technologies to automate network operations.
• Monitor network availability and performance, respond to incidents, and participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Configure network security controls, including security groups, network access control lists, cloud firewalls, and intrusion detection and prevention capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and optimize network performance across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Maintain architecture and operations documentation and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, or supporting cloud network solutions.
• Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud networking; multi-cloud experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge of hybrid connectivity, routing, DNS, load balancing, and network security.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Scripting experience with Python, Go, Bash, or similar tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $65 -$70 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
