Inspire is expanding and we’re looking for kind and curious clinicians to join our team.
About us:
IMHS is an established psychiatric practice on Manhattan's Upper West Side with a reputation for compassionate, accessible care for everyone regardless of their financial situation. We're now adding a full psychotherapy branch offering in-person and virtual therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups across the lifespan, and we're hiring our first cohort of therapists to bring it to life. That means the clinicians who join now will have a direct hand in shaping our practice as it grows.
We care about your clinical development and we invest in it accordingly, because when our therapists are well supported, our clients have a better experience. You'll have weekly individual and group supervision with our Clinical Director, grounded in psychodynamic thinking. We’ll encourage you to explore different evidence-based approaches so you can grow into a multi-skilled therapist able to draw from a variety of modalities in your work. Supervision here is about helping you develop your authentic clinical voice and giving you real support on difficult cases from a team who has your back.
About you: Our team culture is at the core of what we do, so you're someone who enjoys working alongside other people and brings energy to the group. Solid clinical and diagnostic skills are a given, and you know your way around a caseload, but what really excites us is someone who's hungry to keep learning. You're the kind of person who brings an open mind into the room and feels at home working with people from all walks of life. Documentation is taken seriously because you understand the role it plays in exceptional clinical care. And if you bring additional training in a specific modality or evidence-based practice, even better.
Role description: We're hiring part time therapists who will carry a caseload of 15 clients per week and full-time clinicians who will manage around 30 clients, with the flexibility to ramp up at a pace that works for you.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each client
Use clinical tools and screeners such as PHQ-9, GAD-7, C-SSRS and EPDS to inform your approach
Provide therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT and others
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EHR system in line with HIPAA regulations
Stay on top of scheduling and communication with your clients and the wider treatment team
Participate in individual and group supervision, case conferences, and team meetings
Lead or co-lead therapy groups based on your areas of interest and specialty
Qualifications and Requirements:
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent
Valid New York State license to practice as a psychotherapist (LMSW, LCSW)If you've recently graduated and have passed the licensing exam, we welcome your application.
Benefits:
Health insurance and FSA so you're covered and keeping more of what you earn
Transit benefits to make the commute easier on the days you're seeing clients in person
Continuing education support because we want you to keep growing long after you join us
If you became a therapist because you care about people and you want to grow alongside a team that cares about you, we'd love to hear from you.
Send your resume and cover letter to our Clinical Director, Nicole Jablon at njablon@imhs.nyc
