The Richmond Behavioral Health Authroity PACT Team is seeking a Mental Health-Clinician I (Vocational Specialist) to become partof a multidisciplinary, assertive community treatment team that assesses, plans, develops, coordinates, and provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to seriously mentally ill adults in the following areas- psychiatric treatment and substance abuse treatment services. This successful candidates will perform professional work assessing client needs, developing individual service plans, monitoring service delivery, care coordination and maintaining records. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Program Manager.

Essential Functions

Provide community-based services to include assessment, therapy, case management, independent living skills, care coordination and crisis response.

Implement evidenced based treatment interventions to include CBT, CBTp and Motivational Interviewing to promote recovery.

Responsible for the development and implementation of Individual, Family, and Group treatment interventions.

Link individuals to community resources to help meet basic needs.

Provide a minimum of 75% of services in the community.

Attend daily team meetings and provide updates on any interventions or individual needs within the last 24 hours.

Effectively collaborate with colleagues to assure client care is occurring as specified by the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model and the individual service plan.

Utilize the Individuak Placement and Support (IPS) model whjile taking the lead rolein the provision and coordination of vocational services.

Provide indivudal and group vocational supportive counseling to enable consumersto identify vocational strengths and problems, establish vocational or career goalsand plans to reach them, and recognize and target symtpoms of mental illness that interfere with work.

Complete comprehensive vocational assessments to help the team develop thiriugh goals and objectives with special attention to vocational issues.

Conduct job perfomance assessments and evaluations, regular with work reviewsessions with consumers and their employers, on the jobsupports, crisis assistance contacts and job coaching.

Conduct diagnostic assessments and service authorization requests.

Complete individual service plans, progress notes, quarterly reports, annual documents, and discharge plans.

Evaluate the quality-of-service provision and changes in individuals' condition.

Evaluate individuals' environment for safety, security and negative factors.

Maintain certification as a prescreener with DBHDS. Complete prescreens for involuntary hospitalization as needed to ensure safety for the individual and others.

Assist with crisis coordination and related clinical support, to include coverage of on call phone line.

Maintain certification for medication administration. Deliver medication to individuals and monitor medication adherence.

Provide training and support to members on the ACT team on vocational services.

Assist with shadowing and training new employees as assigned.

Maintain compliance with all regulatory boards, RBHA Policies and Procedures, Employee Handbook and ACT model.

Report clinical concerns, as outlined in policy, in a timely manner to your Supervisor/ Manager/ Director and assist in disseminating information to and from the clinical team.

Represent RBHA in positive and professional manner.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

Master's degree with coursework in social work, counseling, or related field and moderate experience working with individuals in a behavioral health setting. Must be able to register with the Department of Health Professionals as a LMHP-E.

Special Requirements

Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Qualifying licensed and licensed eligible clinician staff will be eligible for a $4K sign-on bonus as defined by the terms and conditions of the approved sign-on bonus policy.

Starting Salary Range
$63,308.77 6.25% differential included
