Summary:
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking a caring and diligent Residential Crisis Clinician to provide counseling services at our Harrison County Diversion Center located in Gulfport, MS. The Residential Crisis Clinician position plays a vital role in PBMHRs ability to provide crisis counseling services to adults with a serious mental illness diagnosis.
This position is Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Previous experience in a residential setting and/or with SMI diagnoses preferred.

Requirements: Masters degree in behavioral health field requiredClinical license preferredMust be able to obtain Clinical license or DMH Therapist certification within 90 days of hireMust have valid drivers license with satisfactory driving recordExcellent communication skills requiredBehavioral health internship requiredIndependent work abilityExcellent communication skills required
Responsibilities: Asks appropriate questions as required by the clinical intake documentation, to elicit information.Assists consumer in establishing realistic therapeutic goals appropriate to the problems presented.Participates in team staffings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.Provides clinical therapy services and emergency services to consumers and their families.Provides written record of consumers progress through the therapeutic process.Uses information obtained in clinical observations to suggest diagnosis and severity of condition.
