VillageCare has delivered quality health care services to individuals residing within New York City for over 45 years.Job Summary:The Clinical Trainer will participate in the development and delivery of clinical and non-clinical training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge. This role will support the overall performance of operations through ongoing training and development designed to drive the efficacy and high-quality performance of each department.Essential Job Functions: Participates in the development of training programs and materials tailored to meet the needs of clinical and non-clinical staffIdentifies training audience and coordinates training via outlook invitesDemonstrates exceptional classroom facilitation skills and incorporates adult learning principals into training deliveryUses facilitator's guide, notes, and other training material as a guide rather than a scriptCreates a safe and respectful learning environment where participants feel comfortable participating and sharing their thoughts and concernsTailors the delivery of material to meet differing needs, interests, and experience levels among participants; can adjust training accordinglyGuides discussions to stay on topic and ensure that learning objectives are being addressedActively involves all participants, using a variety of closed, open, high gain and second level questions, to engage participantsActively seeks evidence of audience engagement and comprehension and provides coaching in the moment, as necessaryIdentifies and addresses any issues among participants that could hinder the learning processUtilizes conflict resolution skills when necessary to maintain a positive learning environmentMaintains control over the learning environment by managing challenging participants, minimizing distractions, utilizing the handling objections model, and monitoring the pace of the class.Supports the evaluation of training delivery and outcomes by administering post training surveysGathers feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and make improvementsMaintains detailed records of training activities, participant progress, and completion ratesProvides reports to management on the impact of training programs.Stays updated on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development to enhance future training programsContinually looks for areas of improvement to support learning outcomes and provides recommendations to improve learning outcomes and/or mitigate potential risksParticipates in special projects as assignedQualifications & Minimum Requirements: Experience: Current RN / Social Work License.At least 1-2 years of experience in training, staff development, or education within a healthcare or managed care environmentMinimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in care management, utilization management, case management, or related fieldExceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to develop clear, engaging, and effective training materialsCollaborative, flexible, and skilled at managing multiple priorities in a demanding environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailDemonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and motivate adult learners.Education and certification: Bachelor's degree in nursing or social workVillageCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
