Our Outpatient services specialize in treatment mental health and substance use disorders with treatment and skills groups, as well as community resources.
Outpatient programs provide trauma-informed care aimed at reducing the harmful impacts of substance use. Participants and their counselors work collaboratively to design an integrated, individualized, strengths-based treatment experience geared towards addressing each client's specific needs and goals. Outpatient programs provide Individual and group therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, crisis intervention, and connection to social support services.

JOB SUMMARY

The Outpatient Program is specifically designed for people who struggle with substance use disorders, mental health issues or co-occurring disorders. The Outpatient Program works with high-risk populations from a variety of backgrounds. Our programs are open and welcoming to adult participants, of any gender identity. We accept the majority of participants who seek Outpatient treatment, including walk-in's, referrals from other agencies and step-down transitional clients from residential treatment programs.
The Clinical Therapist is a BBS Registered individual who is responsible for providing clinically and culturally competent outpatient mental health and substance use disorder services in a medical setting to clinic patients, including crisis intervention, brief behavioral interventions, psychosocial assessments, supportive short-term counseling/psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, substance use disorder treatment, and appropriate internal/external referrals. Clinical Therapist I is expected to maintain a high degree of professional competence and the highest possible ethical standards, and to function as part of an integrated care team. The Clinical Therapist I will work collaboratively as part of an integrated health care team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
First Aid and CPR certification.
Valid California driver's license.
Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency.
Experience with mental health assessment and diagnosis.
Experience establishing supportive relationships and working with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
