    Are you passionate about keeping patient information accurate, organized, and secure while making a real impact in patient care? Affinity Health Center is looking for a detail focused Medical Records Specialist to join our team and support high quality care for our community.

    As a Medical Records Specialist, you play a key role in continuity of care by making sure patient information is complete, accurate, and available when needed. Your work supports referrals, follow ups, and provider decisions that directly impact patient outcomes. Every record you update, every referral document you process, and every detail you catch helps keep care connected and effective for our patients.

    What You'll Do
    - Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and attention to detail
    - Scan, upload, and organize documents in the electronic medical record system
    - Support referral processes by preparing, tracking, and managing referral documentation
    - Help ensure continuity of care by making records available to providers and outside partners as needed
    - Process medical record requests while following all privacy rules
    - Communicate clearly with staff, patients, and referral partners
    - Track and manage records to meet deadlines and support care coordination
    - Protect patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

     

    Pay Range: $17.00-$21.00 hourly (confirm with Heather)

    Requirements:

    What We're Looking For
    - Basic knowledge of medical terminology
    - Experience with medical records and referral processes preferred
    - Understanding of continuity of care and the importance of complete documentation
    - Comfort using electronic medical record systems
    - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    - Good communication skills and a team focused mindset
    - Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay on schedule
    - Bilingual skills are a plus
