About Mindful Therapy Group
Mindful Therapy Group is a leading behavioral health platform that partners with independent mental health and wellness providers by offering them the infrastructure, administrative support, and community they need to thrive in private practice. With a rapidly growing presence across seven states, MTG is on a mission to expand access to high-quality, client-centered care while honoring clinician autonomy and independence.
We are a clinician-first organization that believes mental health care delivery can be transformed through smarter systems, stronger support, and sustainable innovation.
About the Role
The Clinical Support Coordinator is an independently licensed behavioral health clinician who supports clinical quality, provider education, documentation excellence, and measurement-based care (MBC). Reporting to the Director of Clinical Strategy and Provider Success, this role helps translate quality initiatives into practical provider support, effective workflows, and measurable outcomes.
Through provider consultations, workshop facilitation, chart reviews, and targeted follow-up, the Coordinator identifies opportunities for improvement, delivers actionable guidance, and partners with providers to strengthen clinical documentation, engagement, and quality standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, communicates recommendations with confidence and professionalism, and can distinguish meaningful quality concerns from differences in clinical practice. They work independently, know when to escalate concerns, and balance provider support with accountability.
This is a provider education and quality-support role, not a treating clinician or clinical supervisory position.
Key Responsibilities
Provider Education & Support
- Provide individualized provider support: Meet with providers to address documentation concerns, review chart findings, and establish practical next steps. Clearly explain the clinical rationale behind recommendations and navigate questions or disagreement with confidence and professionalism.
- Lead workshops and develop resources: Create and facilitate practical education on documentation, measurement-based care (MBC), and recurring quality concerns. Develop clear guides, examples, and communications tailored to provider needs.
- Support meaningful MBC engagement: Help providers incorporate client feedback and outcome measures into clinical workflows and documentation. Identify adoption barriers and provide education, workflow guidance, or coordination with technical support.
Clinical Quality Review & Assessment
- Conduct clinically informed chart reviews: Perform routine and targeted reviews, assessing documentation of clinical assessment, medical necessity, treatment planning, interventions, progress, and risk. Distinguish substantive quality concerns from differences in clinical style.
- Evaluate AI-assisted review findings: Apply independent clinical judgment to validate automated findings against the clinical record, clarify discrepancies, and translate results into accurate, actionable provider feedback.
- Address provider outlier patterns: Assess flagged documentation, quality, and engagement trends in context; conduct targeted outreach and education; and monitor follow-through. Escalate significant or unresolved concerns with a clear assessment and recommended next steps.
Program Coordination & Process Management
- Coordinate chart review and audit workflows: Manage assigned review requests, deadlines, provider communications, and follow-up activities to support timely completion, consistent review practices, and payor audit readiness.
- Monitor progress and inform improvement: Maintain accurate records of reviews, outreach, and follow-up. Use recurring findings and improvement trends to recommend updates to educational resources, review processes, and provider support.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate across teams: Partner with clinical leadership, Compliance, Billing, Provider Services, and other stakeholders to resolve concerns, clarify requirements, and coordinate issues requiring specialized expertise.
Independent Judgment & Work Management
- Manage work independently: Prioritize assigned work, manage competing deadlines, and follow through without task-by-task direction. Communicate emerging risks, capacity constraints, and issues requiring leadership input while respecting provider autonomy and the role's scope.
