Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Clinical Supervisor specializing in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Mental Health to lead our clinical team in delivering exceptional care. The Clinical Supervisor at Tatum Psychology Employment Group is responsible for overseeing the delivery health services by providing leadership, supervision, and support to a team of therapists in intensive outpatient and/or residential inpatient settings. The Clinical Supervisor ensures high-quality clinical care, supervises the work of clinicians, provides direct therapy to services as needed, coordinates training, and upholds compliance with clinical standards and regulations.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Clinical Supervision and Consultation
  • Clinical consultation for support staff, counselors, associate clinicians, and licensed clinicians.
  • Supervision of associate clinicians; (One (1) hour per week, per supervisee, maximum of 6 associates).
  • Provide weekly team group case consultation.
  • Review and sign all clinical documentation in electronic medical record for supervisees within the TPEG program.
  • Ensures all documentation is timely and meets high clinical standards and compliance requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing shadowing of clinicians and counselors running therapy groups to provide training and coaching as needed.
  • Staff Evaluation and Performance Management
  • Under the direction of the VP of Clinical Services, evaluate clinical staff to ensure competency in clinical duties and provide feedback as needed.
  • Meet weekly with the VP of Clinical Services to discuss ongoing performance improvement and clinical quality.
  • Program Development and Training
  • Under the direction of the VP of Clinical Services /COO, ensure curriculum is well understood by clinical staff and utilized appropriately.
  • Assist the VP of Clinical Services / COO to identify training needs.
  • Clinical Services and Patient Care
  • Direct and support crisis intervention needs that arise among patients.
  • Ensure patient individuals and family sessions are occurring on required timelines.
  • Provide direct services such as group therapy and manage a small caseload of patients.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
  • Follows and supports TPEG policies and procedures.
  • Works collaboratively and cooperatively with internal and external partners.
  • Represents TPEG, Inc., by embodying the mission, vision and values of the organization.
  • Travels occasionally during the workday and on occasional overnight stay. (Compensation for mileage, food and lodging provided.)
  • Maintains regular attendance at work and company activities and demonstrates punctuality regarding deadlines.
  • Displays creativity and vision in recommending new tactics and strategies.
  • Expands and updates job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional learning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Master's or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

LICENSURE: Applicant must have a current state license as a mental health therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), or as a psychologist through the California Board of Psychology (BOP).

RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years of licensed clinical experience, including two (2) years of experience providing clinical supervision

SKILLS: 1. EDUCATION: Master's or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

LICENSURE: Applicant must have a current state license as a mental health therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), or as a psychologist through the California Board of Psychology (BOP).

OTHER EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives within an organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and use initiative to accomplish complex assignments with general instruction and guidance.
