Description

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Duration: 13 Weeks (Temp-to-Perm)
Location: 824 Main St., Suite 307, Phoenixville, PA 19460
Facility: Penn Medicine – Rheumatology (Perkiomen Valley)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week | Day Shift (Core hours between 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM, flexibility required)

Position Overview

Penn Medicine is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for its Rheumatology practice in Perkiomen Valley. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, and only candidates interested in long-term employment with Penn Medicine should be submitted.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be able to commute to the practice within 45 minutes or less
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a physician office/clinic setting
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Room and prepare patients for provider visits
  • Obtain and document vital signs
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
  • Review and update medical history, surgical history, family history, smoking status, allergies, and medications
  • Utilize the EMR to notify providers when patients are ready
  • Assist with clinical documentation and other back-office duties
  • Greet and check in patients at the front desk
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits
  • Answer clinical phone calls and provide administrative support
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Training

  • EMR Training: Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (4-hour training with a 1-hour break)
  • Penn HIPAA Module: Approximately 15 minutes
  • EMR Scheduling Training: 4 days (Tuesday–Friday) following the start date
