Job Summary and Qualifications

This position is responsible for developing and implementing an oncology service line business plan meeting the needs of the cancer patient during the entire continuum of care, driving profitable oncology service line growth and improving operations in terms of quality and processes.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will monitor and manage the oncology operations performance including disease site specific quality metrics, safety, volumes, physician relations and patient satisfaction.
  • You will ensure proactive and effective communication is maintained with physician regarding program needs, oncologic best practices, and maintenance of required standards.
  • You will promote a professional image and act as an ambassador inside and outside the organization.
  • You will ensure learning opportunities are provided for staff, related to disease site specific and general oncology care to maintain necessary competencies.
  • You will act as a hospital liaison ensuring access to cancer education, prevention and support for the local community.
  • You will engage within the HCA Network to drive integration and alignment with Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, and other accreditation bodies as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelors required; Masters preferred.
  • Current Florida State Registered Nurse License or appropriate compact licensure, preferred. If compact license is held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
  • Current BLS required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive hospital/clinical leadership experience with at least 3 years in service line experience, physician relations or related area preferred.
  • Oncology or Specialty Certification preferred.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills including knowledge of hospital systems
