What You'll Do

As a Clinical Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring medications, documentation, supplies, and patient coordination are completed accurately so treatments remain on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process medication orders and refills under pharmacist supervision
  • Coordinate laboratory requests and review results for medication verification
  • Prepare and stage medications and supplies for scheduled patient treatments
  • Monitor and document refrigerator, freezer, room temperature, and humidity logs
  • Coordinate refill reminders and treatment scheduling with nursing and patient care teams
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and identify shortages or recalls
  • Assist with prior authorizations and medication shipment coordination
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance records
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists, nurses, intake specialists, and patient coordinators
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and patient safety standards

Qualifications

Clinical Pharmacy Technician I

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • State Pharmacy Technician Registration (required)
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred or actively pursuing certification
  • 0–1 year of pharmacy experience

Clinical Pharmacy Technician II

  • Active State Pharmacy Technician Registration
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required
  • 1–3 years of pharmacy technician experience
  • Experience with pharmacy management systems (CareTend experience preferred)
  • Specialty or infusion pharmacy experience preferred

Clinical Pharmacy Technician III

  • Active State Pharmacy Technician Registration
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required
  • 3+ years of specialty or infusion pharmacy experience
  • Experience training or mentoring pharmacy technicians
  • Demonstrated leadership in workflow improvement and quality initiatives
