Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager

A community hospital in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead inpatient pharmacy services in a fast-paced environment.

The role. Reporting into hospital leadership, the Pharmacy Operations Manager serves as chair of the Medication Safety Committee, leading risk-reduction strategy, error-data analysis, and continuous quality improvement efforts across a multidisciplinary team. The manager maintains rigorous regulatory and quality control standards for sterile and non-sterile compounding areas, ensuring full alignment with USP guidelines and institutional safety protocols. Day-to-day responsibilities also include overseeing medication distribution, inventory management, and workflow optimization to ensure seamless support for nursing and medical staff. The manager directly leads and mentors the pharmacy technician team, building a collaborative culture focused on professional growth, high performance, and operational agility.

What we're looking for.

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
• Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency is required
• Current pharmacist licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in the state
• Minimum of 3–5 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience, with progressive leadership or supervisory responsibilities
• Demonstrated expertise in sterile compounding regulations and medication safety practices

Schedule. Full-time, day shift, administrative hours; no weekends.

Compensation. $121,700 - $170,352 per year plus Relocation: Case by Case Basis
