Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a womens imaging center, and an ICU.Explore Career Pathways for Pharmacy Professionals: ResponsibilitiesThe clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, an IV admixture program, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff. QualificationsJob Requirements: B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship.OR2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship.Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.Other applicable state requirements - i.e., sterile compounding, etc.BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.ALS/ACLS certification (within 90 days of hire; ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue) Preferred Job Requirements: Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
