    Responsibilities:

    Job Summary

    • Coordinates and maintains the PGY-1 pharmacy residency program, ensuring compliance with ASHP Residency Program Standards. Works with the Clinical Programs and Education/Safety Coordinators to ensure the department is providing age-appropriate, safe, cost-effective medication therapies for patients. Performs all aspects of physician Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) activities/reports utilized for reappointment of physicians.
    • Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements. Administration of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
    • Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
    • Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
    • Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes, to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
    Qualifications:

    Education

    • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm D degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.

    Experience

    • At least 1500 hours in the practice of pharmacy. 2 years full time equivalent experience working in pharmacy services within health system or with medication use technology used in health system. Preferred 1 year or more experience working with health systems current medication technology system. Working both independently and in complex collaborative team environments.

    Licensure/Certification

    • Licensed and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy. Memberships: Annual memberships in the Oklahoma Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists are strongly encouraged. Completion of general and patient care orientation is required prior to providing patient care.
