A full-service medical facility in Las Vegas is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology to join its Cancer Care Clinic. The hospital is part of a multi-facility health system known for advanced cardiovascular and thoracic services, a state-of-the-art robotic surgery institute, and a strong academic partnership supporting physician and surgeon training through an active medical education consortium.

This full-time role is embedded within the Cancer Care Clinic with scheduled rotation into the inpatient BMT/Oncology unit, focusing on support for a Transplant and Cellular Therapy program. The position works closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary specialists, serving as the primary clinical pharmacy resource in this highly specialized area. The environment emphasizes clinical autonomy, allowing for independent decision-making within established collaborative frameworks.

Key responsibilities include supporting treatment planning for autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants, managing pharmacologic therapy for hematologic malignancies, and contributing to care involving CAR T-cell and BiTE therapies. The pharmacist also conducts therapeutic drug monitoring, provides patient education and counseling, and develops, implements, and evaluates order sets, protocols, and clinical guidelines. Additional duties include participation in quality improvement efforts and representation on institutional committees to advance oncology pharmacy practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required

  • Current Nevada Pharmacist license required

  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification required

  • Completion of a PGY2 Oncology and/or Bone Marrow Transplant Pharmacy Residency, or at least five years of clinical oncology pharmacy experience

  • Prior experience in a BMT/Oncology clinic with a collaborative practice agreement
