    Clinical Pharmacist Generalist - Acute Care

    Mint Hill Medical Center | Novant Health

    Schedule: Rotating shifts; 1st shift availability (6:00am-4:00pm) and 2nd shift availability (12:30pm-9:00pm)

    Novant Health is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Pharmacist Generalist to join our acute care team at Mint Hill Medical Center. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered pharmaceutical care while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide clinical pharmacy services across acute care settings
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to develop and optimize individualized treatment plans
    • Review and verify medication orders for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness
    • Monitor patient medication therapy and adjust recommendations based on clinical outcomes
    • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
    • Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members on medication use
    • Document interventions and clinical activities in accordance with system standards
    • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

    What We're Looking For

    • Education: 4 Year/Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy, required. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification. PharmD, preferred.

    • Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy. Oncology experience preferred for oncology roles, required. ASHP accredited PGY2 Infectious disease residency OR 2 years of equivalent clinical pharmacy experience in infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship, required.

    • Licensure/Certification:

    • Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required.

    • Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the role; excludes PRN team members who may not be eligible to take certification exam, required.

    • Additional skills required: Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.
