    Job Summary:

    St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Clinical Office Assistant for our Echo/Vascular department located within the Edgewood hospital.

    Job Description:

    The Clerical Office Assistant provides administrative, registration, scheduling, and customer service support to ensure efficient daily operations within a healthcare office setting. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff, delivering professional and courteous service in person, by phone, and through electronic communication. Responsibilities include patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, obtaining authorizations, collecting patient payments, maintaining accurate records, managing multiple phone lines, and supporting front office operations. The position also assists with medical records management, data entry, problem resolution, and general clerical duties while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and team members.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Education, Credentials, Licenses:

    • High school graduate or GED

                                              

    Specialized Knowledge: 

    • Medical terminology
    • Computer fluency/literacy
    • Communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Maintain patient confidentiality
    • Organization and prioritization skills

    Kind and Length of Experience: 

    1 year of experience in an office front desk type role, healthcare registration, scheduling or other patient-facing healthcare positions.
