The center helps care for patients' overall health and addresses common side effects that occur during and after care. It also helps treat medical conditions besides cancer and their interactions with cancer and its treatments.
Clinical Nurse opportunity in Internal Medicine Center (TMC - Main). The ideal candidate will be an RN with at least two years of experience. Prefer candidates with experience working in an outpatient environment. Oncology, general internal medicine, or infectious disease experience is a plus.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift between 7:30 am - 5:00 pm (varies based on business needs)
Salary range: $68,000 - minimum - $105,200 midpoint - $142,500 maximum
Hourly breakdown of salary range: minimum $32.69 - midpoint $50.58 - maximum $68.51

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Outpatient Clinical Nurse position is to coordinate and implement patient care across the continuum of care. The Outpatient Clinical Nurse is accountable and responsible for providing quality, evidence-based patient care through the appropriate use of resources in collaboration with the inter-professional team. Acts as a patient and family advocate to uphold patient rights. Organizes and prioritizes work of patient care team; trains, coaches and assists team members to ensure optimum patient care and efficient use of resources.

EDUCATION
Required: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if working in the following department: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if working in the following departments: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761) or Pedi - Child & Adolescent Center (113200).
Preferred: OCN - Oncology Nurse Certification, Certification in specialty practice.
EXPERIENCE
Required: None
Preferred: Two years of relevant clinical nurse experience, preferably in an outpatient setting; oncology experience. General internal medicine or infectious disease experience is a plus.
All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
