The Genitourinary Center at MD Anderson is one of the world's most-recognized treatment centers for Genitourinary cancers. Research by MD Anderson physicians has pioneered new standards of care for Bladder cancer and other Urologic procedures. Our active research program and collaboration allow patients the opportunity to be part of clinical trials that are not available in many community urology clinics.
The GU Center has internationally-known doctors who have dedicated their careers to advancing global knowledge about staging and treating GU cancers.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of nursing experience.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift assigned between the hours of 7am and 5pm; based on the business need.
Shift during orientation is 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. After orientation, the start time for the 8-hour shift may vary based on business need.
Salary: $68,000 - minimum - $105,200 midpoint - $142,500 maxiumum
Hourly breakdown of salary range: minimum $32.69 - midpoint $50.58 - maximum $68.51

EDUCATION
Required: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if working in the following department: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if working in the following departments: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761) or Pedi - Child & Adolescent Center (113200).
Preferred: OCN - Oncology Nurse Certification, Certification in specialty practice.
EXPERIENCE
Preferred: Two years of clinical nurse experience in an ambulatory/outpatient setting.
All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
