POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Clinical Nurse Manager your roles and responsibilities will include:
The client is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations of its outpatient clinic serving seniors through the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) model. Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Director, this leader will manage clinic staff, optimize workflows, ensure regulatory compliance, and support high-quality care delivery for frail and elderly participants.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day clinic operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise, coach, develop, and retain nursing and clinic staff, including RN Case Managers, Clinic RNs, LVNs, Medical Assistants, and other clinical personnel.
  • Monitor clinic workflows, staffing, productivity, and operational performance.
  • Analyze operational and clinical data, identify trends, conduct root cause analyses, and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of assessments, physician orders, care plans, and clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with providers, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate participant care.
  • Lead clinical and nursing audit activities, including CMS and DHCS reviews.
  • Develop and monitor corrective action plans to maintain compliance and quality standards.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and participant-centered care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Clinical Nurse Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Clinical Nurse Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience managing outpatient or ambulatory clinic operations, including supervision of RNs, LVNs, and Medical Assistants.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience working with frail, elderly, geriatric, PACE, home health, hospice, or similar populations.
  • Strong knowledge of clinic operations, quality improvement, compliance, and staff management.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification (preferred upon hire).
Preferred Experience
  • PACE program experience.
  • Geriatric or senior healthcare experience.
  • Regulatory compliance and audit leadership.
  • Performance improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
