The Ambulatory Surgery RN responsibilities include:
- RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
- RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
- RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
- RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned
For this position, we require at least 2 years of RN experience with 1 year RN experience in Surgery preferred. This is a Full Time position working 40 hours per week that will be focused on circulating Ambulatory Surgery. Surgery or Ambulatory Surgery experience is strongly preferred.
Certifications and Licensures:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- RN (Registered Nurse)
- ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
- Preferred Nurse Specialty
Education:
- Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing
- Preferred Bachelor's Nursing
Experience:
- Required 1 year acute care experience or 1 year interventional / procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or interventional / procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.
- Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
