Clinical Analytical Chemistry Lab Technologist
Job Description
The Clinical Mass Spectrometry Technologist performs complex analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to support accurate diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients. This role operates within specialized laboratories and works with advanced analytical technologies, including HPLC, LC/MS/MS, and GC/MS, to deliver precise and reliable test results. The technologist operates and maintains sophisticated instrumentation, troubleshoots assays, evaluates test performance, and supports the overall efficiency of laboratory operations. The position requires strict adherence to safety protocols, effective use of multiple computer systems, and the ability to perform accurately in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Work Environment
The role is based in a specialized clinical laboratory that utilizes advanced analytical technologies, including HPLC, LC/MS/MS, and GC/MS, to support patient care. The schedule includes one position working Monday through Friday on 8-hour shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with flexibility to start as early as 7:00 a.m. during training to align with the trainer's schedule, and two additional positions working Monday through Friday on daytime 8-hour shifts. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring work under time constraints and occasional adjustments to accommodate off-shifts, holidays, on-call assignments, and weekend coverage. Team members work with infectious specimens, chemicals, and other laboratory hazards and must consistently follow strict safety protocols and use appropriate protective measures. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
