    Job Description
    Clinical Lab Supervisor

    Location: Central GA, United States

    Schedule: Monday - Friday (no weekends or holidays), Evening shift 1pm - 10:30pm with some overnight work as necessary

    Job Summary:

    The Clinical Lab Supervisor is responsible for overseeing laboratory operations in the technical area(s) of the Hospitals and Clinics. This role includes department, discipline, and/or shift oversight to ensure peak laboratory operations and quality standards are met.

    Major Responsibilities:
    • Provide work direction, expertise, and guidance to staff
    • Oversee clinical laboratory testing and evaluation of results
    • Participate in projects to meet strategic initiatives
    • Monitor budget compliance
    • Implement performance improvement processes
    • Ensure quality, regulatory, and compliance standards are met
    • Coordinate training and competency testing of staff
    • Monitor and maintain quality indicators
    • Select, coach, and develop team members
    Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
    • Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by ASCP or Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by ASCP or equivalent accrediting agency
    Education Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology or equivalent
    Experience Required:
    • 3 years of experience in technical laboratory services and operations
