Clinical Laboratory Supervisor – High Complexity Molecular Diagnostics (Full time - Onsite)

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Supervisor specializing in High Complexity Molecular Diagnostics to join our team on a full-time, onsite basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular diagnostic procedures and a proven track record in laboratory supervision. This role is critical to ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our laboratory operations.

Job Responsibilities

As a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your duties will include:

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of laboratory personnel to ensure accurate and timely testing of patient samples.

• Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, including CLIA, CAP, and other relevant guidelines.

• Implementing and monitoring quality control programs to maintain the integrity and accuracy of test results.

• Training, mentoring, and evaluating laboratory staff to foster professional development and maintain a high level of performance.

• Collaborating with other departments to optimize laboratory workflows and improve operational efficiencies.

• Developing and revising laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure best practices are followed.

• Participating in the hiring process for new laboratory personnel and conducting performance evaluations.

• Managing laboratory inventory and ensuring proper maintenance and calibration of equipment.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-complexity clinical laboratory setting

• Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by ASCP or equivalent preferred.

• Strong knowledge and experience in high complexity molecular diagnostic testing and methodologies preferred.

• Thorough understanding of CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory requirements for high complexity laboratories.

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of laboratory professionals.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments.

• Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and data management.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory environment.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or needs of the laboratory.

Compensation details: 80000-100000 Yearly Salary
