Clinical Laboratory Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform comparative hematology, clinical chemistry testing, blood bank, urinalysis and coagulation testing as well as assist in the development of new diagnostic tests applicable to animal species.
• Actively participate in sample analysis along with other technicians.
• Ensure even distribution and coordination of work in the laboratory
• Ensure analysis conducted for investigators follows the guidelines set forth by the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Act
• Coordinate research services for biomedical investigations
• Communicate with clinical pathologists, clinicians, professional students and biomedical investigators.
• Train emergency technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
