    Job Summary

    Performs advanced diagnostic testing and quality control procedures, prepares reagents, and reports results in accordance with established policies and procedures. Conducts moderate to high complexity testing, maintains laboratory systems, and assists with training and orientation of testing personnel. Evaluates competencies and supports continuous improvement in lab operations. Demonstrates leadership in maintaining compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all testing activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Role Overview

    As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will perform advanced laboratory testing while supporting team development, quality assurance, and operational excellence.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Performing advanced diagnostic testing and quality control procedures
    • Preparing reagents and reporting results according to established policies and procedures
    • Conducting moderate to high complexity laboratory testing
    • Maintaining laboratory systems and ensuring operational efficiency
    • Assisting with training and orientation of testing personnel
    • Evaluating staff competencies and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
    • Promoting accuracy, compliance, and high-quality laboratory standards
    • Performing other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education

    Required:

    • Associate's degree in Medical Technology OR a related field

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field

    Experience

    Required:

    • Minimum of 4 months of clinical laboratory experience required
    • 2 Years of Clinical laboratory experience preferred

    Licensure / Certification

    Required:

    • State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
    • Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist
