Job Title: Clinical Mass Spectrometry TechnologistJob Description
The Clinical Mass Spectrometry Technologist performs complex analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to support health care providers in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating patients. Testing is conducted in specialized laboratories using highly skilled manual techniques and advanced automated instrumentation, with a primary focus on HPLC, LC/MS/MS, and GC/MS. The technologist operates and maintains sophisticated instruments, troubleshoots assays, evaluates test accuracy, assists in interpreting results, and provides operational support to optimize testing workflows. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols when working with infectious specimens, chemicals, and other laboratory hazards, and involves using multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results.

Work Environment
This position is based in a specialized clinical laboratory that utilizes advanced technologies, including HPLC, LC/MS/MS, GC/MS, and other analytical instruments. The role follows a Monday through Friday day shift schedule, with two positions available working 8 hours per day. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring flexibility for scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holidays, on-call duties, and weekend work assignments as needed. Staff work with infectious specimens and chemicals under strict safety protocols and use multiple computer systems to manage data and report results. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
