Compensation: $25.00–$35.00/hr, depending on experience
Lighthouse Lab Services is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Associate to join a dynamic laboratory team in the Richmond, CA area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with laboratory experience who is interested in building their skills in LC-MS, Chemistry, and/or Molecular testing.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience and a strong attention to detail. Experience in a clinical, pharmaceutical, toxicology, or other laboratory environment is preferred, but certification is not required.
Responsibilities
Prepare and process biological and other laboratory specimens for testing.
Perform routine laboratory procedures in accordance with established SOPs and safety protocols.
Assist with sample preparation and workflow for LC-MS, Chemistry, and/or Molecular testing.
Operate laboratory equipment and instruments as trained.
Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
Accurately label, track, and organize patient and laboratory specimens.
Assist with quality control activities and maintain accurate laboratory records.
Enter and document laboratory information accurately in the LIS and other applicable systems.
Follow established procedures for specimen handling, storage, and disposal.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Assist Medical Technologists and other laboratory staff with day-to-day testing operations.
Adhere to all laboratory safety, quality, regulatory, and confidentiality requirements.
Perform additional laboratory support duties as needed.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field preferred.
Previous laboratory experience preferred, particularly in a clinical, toxicology, pharmaceutical, or research laboratory.
Experience with LC-MS, Chemistry, Molecular testing, or sample preparation is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed written procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with laboratory information systems is preferred.
No California CLS license or professional certification required.

Day Shift: Tuesday–Saturday
$25.00–$35.00/hr, depending on experience
1-year contract with potential opportunity to transition to a permanent position
