Core Responsibilities
  • Design, lead, and execute Phase I through Phase III breast oncology clinical trials, including investigator-initiated studies and cooperative group protocols
  • Provide direct clinical care to patients with early-stage and metastatic breast cancer in both outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Develop and maintain an independently funded translational research program focused on breast cancer biology, biomarkers, or therapeutic resistance mechanisms
  • Mentor and supervise fellows, residents, and junior research staff within a structured academic training environment
  • Collaborate closely with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, and genetics teams to optimize multidisciplinary patient management
  • Present research findings at national and international scientific conferences and publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed medical journals
  • Participate actively in tumor boards, institutional research committees, and program development initiatives
  • Pursue extramural funding through NIH, PCORI, DOD Breast Cancer Research Program, and other relevant funding agencies

Must-Have Requirements
  • MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree with board certification or board eligibility in Medical Oncology
  • Fellowship training with dedicated focus on breast oncology clinical and research activities
  • Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications relevant to breast cancer
  • Experience as a principal investigator or co-investigator on clinical trials
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage diverse patient populations compassionately
  • Eligibility to obtain Massachusetts medical licensure and DEA registration
  • Commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and research mentorship
